Nasoalveolar cysts are rare developmental structures. These lesions are usually unilateral and they are non-odontogenic. In the present study we performed a retrospective review of five cases with nasoalveolar cysts, who were diagnosed in Okmeydanı Training And Research Hospital Otolaryngology Clinic between January 2009 and October 2009. The patients were evaluated with respect to their gender, age, presenting symptoms, duration of symptoms, localization of the lesion, length of hospitalization, clinical features, histopathological findings, radiological findings, treatment option and recurrences. We found that nasoalveolar cysts had a higher incidence in women, adults, and on the left side of the face. The symptoms of the patients were swelling at the nasolabial sulcus and facial asymmetry. In all patients the cysts were excised through a sublabial approach and diagnosis was confirmed histopathologically. The patients were discharged on postoperative first day and no recurrence was encountered during a 9-month average follow-up period.
