ABSTRACT

Jugular foramen is an important anatomical region for transition of vena juguli bulb, 9,10,11. cranial nerves from intracranial space to the neck. Tumors developed in this area although rare, in order of frequency, glomus jugulare tumors, neuromas and menengioma be considered. Depth of the region and important structures such as the facial nerve, internal carotid artery and intracranial region is close to this region needs of special surgical approaches. Patient previously diagnosed with neurofibromatosis narrowed oropharynx mass caused due to aspiration and swallowing difficulties were operated transmandibular and transcervical approach. The patient presented with literature data.
