Cancer incidence increases with age. % 60 of all cancers and % 70 of cancer-related deaths occur in persons age 65 and older. Oncologists need to adept at assesing physiologic and fuctional capacity in older to provide safe and efficacious cancer treatment. Old patients struggle with cancer and problems caused from their old age. With age physiopathology changes, so approach to the patient must be different. Usually old patients are thought to be not tolerating agressive therapies, but their phsiologic status and their individual response is important. In old patients cancer incidence is high, but clinicians don’t appreciate early diagnose and scanning programs. Altough many patients physiologic status are available, they don’t gather clinical studies. This group forms % 60 of cancer patients and must enter to the clinical studies more.
