Obesity, which is a major complication of chronic over-nutrition is associated with major complications: eg diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. With loss of 5 to 10% by weight thereof can be reduced, and a lot of insulin resistance decreases, atherogenic, procoagulant, diabetogenic hormonal and metabolic production of the active substances is reduced. Even if a slight reduction in the weight of adipose tissue again liver, pancreas, and fat accumulation gains protection capability. In catabolic situations obese patients may be exposed to malnutrition like debilitated patients. Therefore, patients should be monitored and appropriate nutritional support should be given.
