As a well-known public health problem both in our country and in the world, obesity can coincide with hypertension, type-2 diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disorders, polycystic ovary disease, sleep-apnea syndrome, breast and colorectal cancers, physiologic and orthopedic soruns as well as many skin pathologies. It is critical to diagnose these skin problems which are usually associated with insulin resistance, hyperandrogenism, increased skin thickness and mechanical problems to avoid the consequences related to morbidity and mortality of obesity. This manuscript focuses on dermatologic signs and diseases associated with obesity.
