Illicit drug addiction can lead to neurologic problems arising from both intoxication and chronic use. Also particular drugs might cause neurologic signs following withdrawal. Clinicians ought to be aware of neurologic disorders associated with these drugs and should consider drug abuse in any patient with unexplained symptoms and signs.
