Recently elderly population is growing worldwide and in our country. The term “geriatric syndrome” is used to define the symptoms and clinical conditions those present with atypical symptoms and can not be explained with the term disease and arise due to many different causes. Physicians’ knowledge about geriatric syndromes is important for the right approach and management. This review aims to raise awareness by discussing common geriatric syndromes, malnutrition, pressure sores, urinary incontinence, falls, delirium and sarkopenia and to provide practical approach recommendations.
