Splenic epithelial (primary) cyst which is mainly seen in children and young adults is a rare cystic disease of spleen. A 37 year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were admitted to the surgery outpatients of our hospital with complaints of abdominal pain and distension. The radiological findings of the cases were consistent with splenic cyst and they underwent splenectomy. Histopathological examination revealed epithelial cyst. Here we report two cases of primary splenic epithelial cyst which are rarely encountered entities.
