In our country, together with other institutions, acceleration in the health sector disaster preparedness, was realized with Gölcük and Duzce earthquakes. Only earthquake-oriented, but do not overlook other disasters with an understanding of a holistic disaster management system action plan and what strategies need to be put forward, the most important steps to reduce the problems. For this reason, in the work presented, initially the basic concepts of disaster, then related to the restructuring legislation in 2009, the preparation of emergency action plans, priorities, issues such as internationally accepted minimum standards for disaster assistance are discussed. In the process of disaster preparedness of the health sector via disaster management-based approach, seeing the risks, draws attention to the most efficient use of available resources, in the study. At the same time, the current knowledge sharing, all the hospital staff prepared before disasters arise, it is the objective of becoming qualified and guidance in order to be cautious. In addition to these, the issues of what happens to measures against hazards are presented. Working in essence, reached in the system since 1999, examining the strengths and weaknesses of the process, speeding up the work, in order to contribute to the dissemination of the culture and society of disaster prepared.
