A 14-year-old woman presented with a 11-month history of a single, asymptomatic, palpable mass on the right side of her neck that recently increased in size. Prior to the appearance of the swelling, no history of cervical trauma was reported. Clinically, the mass was localized to the right neck centered about the middle portion of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. It was felt as a mobile, tender, and nonpulsatile mass on deep planes, Computerized tomography of the neck revealed, solid, ovoid, a 3x2 cm mass within the sternocleidomastoid muscle. Mass was excised. Intramuscular hemangioma was diagnosed after histopathological examination.
