Brucellosis is the mostcommon zoonotic infection around the world that is caused by direct contact or consumption of infected anımals’ meat or products. Brucellosisis an endemic disease in Mediterranean countries, and Turkey. The disease may present with broad spectrum manifestations and involves many systems like cardiovascular, hematopoetic, skeletal, nervous, cutaneous and gastrointestinal systems. It is one of the most common cause of fever of unknown origin in our country. The main purpose of brucellosis treatment is to decrease symptoms, reduce complications, and prevent relapses.
