Ataxia, Scoliosis and Pes Cavus: A Case Report

Friedreich Ataxia was named by Nicolaus Friedreich at 1863. It is an autosomal recessive, inherited, progressive, neurodegenerative disorder. The patients usually have progressive ataxia, weakness, loss of senses in the lower extremities, scoliosis and pes kavus deformity. Here we present, 13-year-old girl diagnosed with friedreich ataxia. By this case report we want to express the importance of physical examination at the diagnose.
