Skin and soft tissue infections may create serious clinical conditions leading to sepsis. When systemic symptoms are seen; a thorough examination of the body is needed. If primary treatment of sepsis fails, irreversible organ failure rapidly develops. To reduce mortality; early diagnosis of infection location, correct antibiotherapy, intensive care treatment are necessary.
We present the clinical progress of a case in which a simple intramuscular injection lead to infection, causing sepsis.
