Hypothermia, metabolic acidosis and coagulopathy are known as trauma lethal triad. Damage control surgery is three phase procedure. First phase; control of bleeding and contamination. Second phase; correction of shock, hypothermia, metabolic asidosis and coagulopathy. Third phase; performing definitive surgery. Open abdomen management is important for patients with damage control surgery.
