Owing to the use of computer technologies in imaging, number of patients who have been diagnosed early and consequently need of local therapies has been gradually increasing. It is observed that life expectancy of patients is longer than before due to recent advances in new treatment modalities. For that reason it can take more effort for treating late side effects of treatment than the treatment itself. Brachytherapy, meaning applying radiotherapy from short distance, is a type of internal conformal therapy. It is applied after external radiotherapy as complementary or used solely according to stage of patient. Technological improvements of computers inspired the development of radiotherapy devices and technic, although this treatment has been applied for many years. Application of computed tomography enables us to deliver high doses to target volumes while sparing neighboring organs at risk. Treatment success is described as delivering high dose distribution to tumor while protecting organs at risk without perturbing the patient. Treatment choice varies according to technical availabilities, experience of the physician and condition of patient.
