Despite the common occurrence of unintentional foreign body ingestion, foreign bodies infrequently cause major complications. The extended time interval between the ingestion and removal increases the risk of complications. This present study reports an unusual case: the diagnosis of a chicken bone that remained in the stomach for about a month without any severe complications, such as perforation, bleeding and obstruction. Present study has already shown that sharp-pointed objects in the gastrointestinal tract may not lead to severe complications in the late period. However, foreign body query, especially in patients with resistant dyspeptic symptoms and epigastric pain should be kept in mind.
